Beekeeping Books Giveaway

Those subscribed to this newsletter/blog will remember that one of the recurring themes has been to look at the history and sales of the now second edition of Storey’s Guide to Keeping Honey Bees.
Readers will no doubt recall the basics of this book linked to the Apis Information Resource Center, which reveals information about the history of the volume, contains a link to an in-depth review in the Florida Entomologist, and lists a series of editorial endorsements by leaders in the field of apiculture. The book has also been adopted as a text for the online Beekeeping Certificate Course, Apprentice Level, School of Extended & Lifelong Learning (SELL) at the University of Montana.
Now a video has been produced concerning the volume. It is the first in a series of programs planned, featuring the career and subsequent efforts of the author, Dr. Malcolm T. Sanford, who continues to inform beginning and advanced beekeepers about managing honey bees in the modern apicultural environment.
The interviewer is a professional videographer, Dr. Humberto Boncristiani, who is creating a youtube.com channel that takes viewers into “the world of bees.” It is possible to access the video along with several others found at insidethehive.tv.
The real subject of this particular blog post is something called the “Beekeeping Books Giveaway.” Five copies of the book will be given away to those who access the video in the next month and comply with the rules as published.
